CBB60 Motor Run Capacitor 450VAC – 1µF to 3.5µF, Quick Connect Terminal, 7 Values

The CBB60 Motor Run Capacitor series delivers reliable continuous-duty phase-shift support for single-phase AC motors. Rated 450VAC 50/60Hz with metallized polypropylene film construction, these capacitors are built for pumps, compressors, small industrial motors, and HVAC auxiliary units. Available in 7 capacitance values from 1µF to 3.5µF, all sharing the same compact housing and standard quick-connect terminals.

Note: CBB60 is a RUN capacitor (continuous operation). Not for intermittent start-only duty — for start applications, see CD60 series.

Available Values (Multi-Attribute / Variant)

Common Specifications (All Variants)

  • Model: CBB60
  • Rated Voltage: 450V AC
  • Frequency: 50/60 Hz
  • Capacitance Range: 1.0 – 3.5 µF (±5% tolerance)
  • Duty Type: Continuous Run
  • Dielectric: Metallized Polypropylene Film (self-healing)
  • Terminal: Quick-Connect Spade Terminals (standard 6.3×0.8mm / 1/4" push-on)
  • Case: Flame-retardant plastic or bakelite, oval or round profile
  • Operating Temperature: -25°C to +70°C (or -40°C to +85°C, verify grade)
  • Safety: Internal pressure-release mechanism, self-extinguishing case
  • Compliance: CQC / TUV / UL recognized (verify per production batch)

Terminal & Mounting

  • Connection: Standard quick-connect spade terminals — mates with 6.3mm female push-on connectors (included or user-supplied).
  • Mounting: Through single central bolt hole (stud mount) or bracket clip depending on case style. Verify housing shape (oval vs. round) against your motor's mounting provision.
  • No soldering required — push-on terminals for field service and OEM assembly.

Applications

Water Pumps

  • Centrifugal pumps, jet pumps, well pumps, pool pumps
  • Circulation pumps in hydronic heating systems

Compressors & Refrigeration

  • Small compressor run winding support
  • Refrigeration condensing units

Small Motors

  • Single-phase AC motors in HVAC blowers, fans, conveyors
  • Workshop equipment motors

CBB60 vs CD60 vs CBB61 — Quick Guide

Series Duty Terminal Voltage Range Best For
CBB60 Continuous Run Quick-Connect Spade 250V–500VAC Pumps, compressors, motors
CBB61 Continuous Run Wire Leads 250V–500VAC Ceiling fans, exhaust fans
CD60 Intermittent Start Spade / Wire Leads 110V–330VAC Motor starting (brief duty)

Selection Guide

  • Match µF exactly — within ±5% is acceptable. Oversizing run capacitance can overheat the motor winding.
  • Voltage rating: 450VAC is safe for 230V and 115V single-phase motors (derated for margin).
  • Physical fit: Check case shape (oval/round), mounting hole, and terminal orientation before ordering.
  • Terminal size: Confirm 6.3mm spade connectors are available in your installation.

Installation & Safety

  • Disconnect all power and verify motor is de-energized before servicing.
  • Discharge the old capacitor — run capacitors can retain charge.
  • Connect wires to spade terminals: push-on firmly, ensure no bare conductor exposed.
  • Secure the capacitor to the motor bracket or housing using the provided mounting provision.
  • Do not pinch wires between case and motor housing.
  • Replace with same µF and equal-or-higher voltage rating.

Why Choose This CBB60 Series?

  • Self-healing metallized film — automatic recovery from dielectric breakdown.
  • Pressure-release safety design — case vents safely under overpressure.
  • Standard quick-connect terminals for fast field replacement.
  • 7 values in one series — simplifies inventory for service technicians.
  • Every unit tested for capacitance and insulation resistance.
  • Factory-direct pricing for all volumes.
