Copper-head NTC temperature sensors built for air conditioner coil & pipe sensing. Copper bullet tip reacts faster than epoxy heads, which makes it the right choice for evaporator and condenser tube temperature detection.

  • 7 resistance values in one set: 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K, 25K, 50K, 100K
  • Sensor type: NTC thermistor, negative temperature coefficient
  • Head material: copper bullet, 6 × 15 mm (confirm before ordering)
  • Tolerance: ±1% / ±3% / ±5% (confirm with listing)
  • Cable length: 400 mm / 40 cm, 2-wire lead
  • Operating range: -40 ℃ to +125 ℃

Resistance Value Reference

Rated Resistance (25 ℃) Common B Value Typical Use
5KΩ 3470K / 3950K Older Gree & Midea coil sensing
10KΩ 3950K Most common — Daikin, Gree, Haier, Midea
15KΩ 3950K Toshiba / Carrier indoor units
20KΩ 3950K Chigo, Aux, some inverter boards
25KΩ 3950K Commercial &light commercial units
50KΩ 3950K VRF systems, heat pump water heaters
100KΩ 3950K / 4100K Panasonic, Samsung, LG inverter boards

Copper Head vs Epoxy Head — Which Do You Need?

Type Where It Goes Reaction Speed
Copper head (this item) Clamped to copper pipe — coil / pipe temperature Fast
Epoxy / plastic head Exposed to airflow — room ambient temperature Slower

How to Confirm the Right Resistance Before Ordering

  1. Power off and unplug the unit, then locate the sensor clipped to the copper pipe near the coil.
  2. Unplug its connector and measure across the two wires with a multimeter set to 20KΩ or 200KΩ.
  3. Compare the reading at roughly 25 ℃ / 77 ℉ against the table above — the closest standard value is your replacement.
  4. If the reading is unstable, jumps around, or shows OL / open circuit, the sensor has failed and needs replacing.

FAQ

Q: Will a 10K sensor work if my original is 5K?
No. Swapping resistance values shifts the whole temperature curve — you will get wrong readings, short cycling, or fault codes. Always match the original rating and B value.

Q: Why does my AC show an F0 / E2 / E4 error?
These codes on most Gree, Midea and Aux units point to coil or ambient sensor fault. Test the sensor resistance first before replacing the control board.

Q: Can I extend the cable?
Yes, solder and heat-shrink any extra length, but keep total added length under 2 m to avoid signal drift on long inverter-board runs.
