## Give Your Subwoofer a Clean New Dome

A dented, torn or missing dust cap doesn't just look bad – it lets dust into
the voice coil gap and can change the way your speaker sounds. This
polypropylene dome dust cap drops straight onto the cone, seals the gap, and
brings the driver back to looking (and sounding) like new.

### Pick the Right Size

Measure the **outer diameter of the dust cap opening** on your cone (or the
cap you're replacing), then choose the closest match below. When in doubt, go
1–2mm larger – you can trim the flange edge slightly, but you can't stretch a
cap that's too small.

### Installation Notes

1. Remove the old cap carefully and clean the cone surface around the opening.
2. Test-fit the new cap to check the flange sits flat all the way round.
3. Apply a thin, even ring of adhesive to the flange – CA glue, epoxy or
   speaker-grade contact adhesive all work.
4. Press down evenly and hold until set. Wipe off any squeeze-out at once.
5. Let it cure fully before playing the speaker.

### FAQ

**How do I measure for the right size?**
Measure across the outside of the hole in the cone, not the old cap's flange.
A calliper is best; a ruler across the widest point works for a rough match.

**Can I paint it?**
Yes. Lightly scuff the surface first and use a thin coat of plastic-compatible
paint so the extra weight stays minimal.

**Will this fit any brand of subwoofer?**
It's a universal part, not brand-specific. Fit is determined by diameter alone,
so measure first rather than matching by model number.
